PME protection units for EV charger installations on TN-C-S (PME) earthing systems — the earthing arrangement used by most UK domestic and commercial properties. BS 7671 Amendment 2:2022 requires automatic disconnection in the event of a PEN fault on any EV charger connected to a PME supply, making a PME protection device a mandatory part of most UK EV charger installations.
