Does Basic Tethered support Octopus Intelligent and OCPP?
Yes to both — every Simpson & Partners charger supports Octopus Intelligent and OCPP 1.6, Basic and Plus alike.
Can I use a tethered charger with any electric car?
Yes, as long as your EV has a Type 2 charging port — which covers all modern EVs sold in the UK.
Will this charger support Vehicle-to-Grid (V2G)?
V2G will be available as a future hardware upgrade module rather than being built in today. Ask us about timing if this matters for your decision now.
Is a cable hook available?
Yes. A colour-matched cable hook is available separately and mounts directly to the charger or adjacent wall.
