Ecoharmony's EVSE Protocol Controller (EPC) is the intelligent part of the vCharge charging stations. It is the communication unit that enables Mode 3 charging in accordance with IEC 61851 and it is available to buy to those building their own EVSE (Electric Vehicle Supply Equipment) or upgrading/replacing parts in other charging stations.

The EPCs leave the factory programmed ready for use/installation at 32A. This is the maximum current advertised by the EPC. If you require a 16A EPC, this can be configured by removing the internal jumper connector. Other maximum currents can be set if required by wiring a resistor across the IC -0V terminals. Details of resistor values can be found in the manual.

This unit is a Tethered controller which is only compatible with tethered installations. If you are looking to build a socket charger please purchase our EPC 2 Lite

For further support on wiring and configuring the EPC check out this Wiring Example and download the manual.
