EV charging is now an amenity guests actively search for. The Holiday Series lets you offer it without absorbing the cost — with built-in metering and RFID access control so you can recover every kWh.
The Simpson & Partners Holiday Series 7kW is designed specifically for holiday lets, short-term rentals, and second homes — anywhere a property owner wants to offer EV charging to guests without picking up the electricity bill themselves.
It includes a built-in MID-certified energy meter (accurate to ±2%) for reliable usage tracking, and RFID access control so only authorised guests can activate the charger. Paired with Tap Electric (no monthly fee), you can charge guests directly for the electricity they use — either by the kWh or as a flat fee per session. The charger connects via Ethernet for a stable, always-on connection.
UK-manufactured and backed by a 5-year hardware warranty and 10-year enclosure warranty, it is built for reliable, low-maintenance operation across frequent tenancy changes.

Frequently Asked Questions
How do I charge guests for EV charging?
The Holiday Series integrates with Tap Electric — a contactless payment platform with no monthly subscription. Guests tap their card or phone to start a session; you receive payment automatically. The built-in MID-certified meter ensures accurate per-kWh billing.
How do guests access the charger?
Access is controlled by RFID cards or fobs provided to guests at check-in. You can also configure the charger for open access if preferred.
What is a MID-certified meter?
A MID (Measuring Instruments Directive) certified meter meets legal standards for commercial billing accuracy. If you charge guests per kWh, a MID-certified meter ensures the amounts are legally defensible.
Does the property need broadband?
Yes — the charger connects via Ethernet and needs an internet connection for payments and remote management. If there's no broadband, a 4G router is a practical alternative.
