Not every home has a wall in the right place. Listed buildings, rendered or insulated façades, and driveways set back from the house all rule out a standard wall-mounted charger — this puts the full Plus charger on its own purpose-built pedestal instead, cable entry concealed from below, no drilling into the building required.
Built for properties where wall mounting isn't an option
On a listed or heritage property, drilling into the external wall usually isn't permitted at all; on rendered or heavily insulated walls, it's a job most installers would rather avoid. A freestanding pedestal sidesteps the problem entirely — bolted to a concrete base rather than fixed to brickwork, with the supply cable run underground and up through the base for a finish with no visible conduit or surface wiring.

Is the pedestal included?
Yes. The freestanding version includes the EV block mini pedestal. Your installer runs the supply cable through the base from underground or a surface conduit.
