A domestic charger is built to charge one car, on one driveway, billed to one household electricity account. A commercial site is a different problem: multiple chargers, multiple users who aren't the bill payer, and a supply that has to be shared sensibly rather than maxed out by whoever plugs in first. Freestanding Plus — Depots, Fleets & Car Parks

A mini pedestal unit for sites where you need a charger away from a wall — fleet depots, car parks and multi-bay layouts. Concealed cable entry keeps cabling tidy and out of the way, and a Wired Energy Manager is included as standard, meaning load management is built in from the start rather than an aftermarket add-on.

Multi-Charger Site Design & Load Management

Running more than a couple of chargers off one supply means thinking about the incoming capacity, not just the number of sockets. Dynamic load balancing via a wired CT clamp lets chargers share the available supply automatically, scaling back individual charge rates when demand is high rather than tripping the main switch. Pair this with one of our 3-phase distribution boards sized for 11–22kW EV circuits, and you've got the electrical backbone for a multi-bay site sorted from the ground up.

Ready-Built PEN Fault & Surge Protection Units

Most 3-phase EV chargers — including the Tesla Wall Connector — have no built-in PEN fault detection, which BS 7671:2018 Amendment 2 requires on a PME (TN-C-S) supply. Rather than speccing an earth rod or building protection up from separate components, we stock two ready-built units for exactly this.

Frequently Asked Questions

What's the difference between these chargers and a domestic EV charger?

Domestic chargers are built for one vehicle and one bill payer. Commercial units add MID-certified metering for accurate billing, RFID access control to restrict who can charge, built-in payment integration, and dynamic load balancing so multiple chargers can share one supply.

Can I charge customers or staff for using the chargers?

Yes — the Holiday Series has Tap Electric payment integration built in with no monthly fee, alongside MID-certified metering so billing is based on actual electricity used.

How many chargers can I run off one supply?

It depends on your incoming supply capacity and the distribution board behind it. Dynamic load balancing via a wired CT clamp lets multiple chargers share the available supply, but for larger sites get in touch and we'll help you size the supply, board and charger count together.

Do you offer freestanding units for car parks and depots?

Yes — the Freestanding Plus is a mini pedestal unit with concealed cable entry, designed to be sited independently of a building wall, with a Wired Energy Manager included as standard.

Does the Tesla Wall Connector need extra protection on a commercial site?

Yes — the Tesla Wall Connector (Gen 3) has no built-in PEN fault detection, which BS 7671 Amendment 2 requires on a PME supply. We stock ready-built PEN fault detection and surge protection units that are compatible with the Wall Connector, covering single or multi-charger setups.

What if my site needs something outside the standard range?
