The Home Series 22kW Plus is the fastest home EV charger Simpson & Partners produce, delivering up to 22kW on a three-phase supply. Where a 7kW charger might take 8 hours to top up a 75kWh battery, a 22kW charger does it in under 4 hours — a significant advantage for households that drive high mileages or charge infrequently.
Three-phase electricity supply is required, which is available in some UK properties — typically newer homes, converted commercial buildings, or rural properties with a higher-capacity supply. If you're unsure whether your property has three-phase power, your installer can confirm quickly from your meter cupboard.
The 22kW Plus includes all the features of the 7kW Plus model: solar charging, built-in energy monitoring, Wired energy manager included, Wireless Energy Manager compatibility for dynamic load management, and full app control including Octopus Intelligent. Custom colour finishes are available, and the unit carries a 5-year hardware and 10-year enclosure warranty.

Do I need three-phase power for a 22kW charger?
Yes. 22kW AC charging requires three-phase supply. Most UK homes have single-phase (7kW maximum). Your installer can confirm whether your property has three-phase from your meter cupboard. If not, your DNO may be able to upgrade it.
Will my car actually charge at 22kW?
Only if your vehicle's onboard charger accepts 22kW AC. Many EVs are limited to 7kW or 11kW AC. Even if your car is capped at a lower rate, the charger will deliver the maximum your car accepts — and the installation is future-ready.
How much faster is 22kW than 7kW?
Approximately three times faster. A 75kWh battery that takes around 8 hours at 7kW charges in roughly 3.5 hours at 22kW, assuming the vehicle accepts the full 22kW AC.
